Evacuation
Offline navigation preparation
Prepare using the municipal plan; flood precautions apply specifically to flooding.
- 1
Read the municipal plan
Learn the flood-prone areas, escape routes and safe areas identified by your municipality.
- 2
Plan a temporary refuge
Choose a temporary refuge with your household, considering that roads and bridges may not be passable.
- 3
During flooding: avoid dangerous routes
Avoid flooded roads, underpasses, embankments and bridges. Evaluate a route before travelling and avoid flood-prone areas.
- 4
Follow current official instructions
Follow authority instructions as the situation develops. A previously saved route is not proof that a road is safe now.
- 5
Beforehand: keep a paper copy
App editorial suggestion: keep printed local maps and addresses with your plan; save agreed meeting addresses in Family. The app does not provide offline maps.
